Apartment Review for The Overlook Of Homewood - Birmingham, AL

I am currently living here now. My apartment was flooded from the unit above twice. The first time it happened it took four months for them to finally "fix" my sagging and stained ceiling (and by fix I mean put a thin coat of paint to cover it up), they never replaced the carpet padding that they tore out either. Management is uncaring and the staff is too lazy to do their jobs, most of the time they will write your information down on a scrap piece of paper and never contact you about fixing your problem. Lighting is broken in many areas making it unsafe to be outside at night. Trash gets left everywhere and the dumpster overflows at least once a month. On almost a daily basis you see police responding to a call. My neighbor was arrested for murder and a drug dealer is just a walk across the parking lot. The landscaping company has damaged vehicles on several occasions. Lightswitch covers are all held on by one screw and the electrical outlests aren't even secured to the wall. Not to mention that they only allow you to see a demo unit before you sign your lease. The demo unit looks great and you think these apartments are a great deal until you actually see where you are going to be living. Oh, and one day I found the words "YOU ARE GOING TO DIE TONIGHT" carved into my door. Management refused to paint over that without charging me a fee. I could go on and on. Do yourself a favor and don't even bother.
